Where Did My Puppy Go?

What happened to that innocent little creature I picked up at Schiphol airport three months ago? That tiny fur-ball, who fell asleep while I held her fragile body in my arms, snoring with satisfaction. That small dependent baby dog, who studied me endlessly with her big brown eyes.

Voices told me, her weight has tripled in just as many months. Play with Tilde is getting wilder and tougher. By now, it is already clear she will eventually outgrow her big sister physically. Her curiosity is still insatiable and packed with experiences and a more able body, she dares to venture on her own independent discoveries.

Really? I never noticed, I am just convinced the weight scale with the vet is obviously broken.

I am not ready to let go of my puppy yet, and I think I might never be. The time we spent together in those early months was too precious, too magical. It doesn't matter how hard I try. The only thing I can see, is my puppy.

  1. She will always be your puppy, but I understand completely.
