Wizard Update From Jacque: Welcome Oggy

Hovawart Wizard Jacque was so kind to send me an update, she wanted me to share. Maybe you remember how Jacque found out her adopted Golden, was actually a Hovawart. Jacque opened her heart and home for a new Hovawart again with Amber, and a while ago asked for advice on the blog through the comment section on getting a second puppy.

As you are about to see, Jacque decided to go forward with a second puppy, so let's give a warm welcome to Oggy!

Oggy, left - and Amber, right

We are now the proud owners of two young blond Hovies.

We would like to introduce Oggy, our Italian male, to the Hovie community. We are very happy to report both Amber - 8 months - and Oggy - 5 months - have hit it off and become immediate best friends.

This generally involves charging around, chasing each other and some very robust wrestling. Both attend separate training classes which helps socialising. Amber just passed here Bronze level and Oggy his puppy foundation. This actually means they will come to heel and sit so I can again explain the virtues of not digging up the garden!

They have integrated completely into the home often disobeying and taking over the sofas.

With two young Hovawarts around, we are kept on our toes but both have loving characters and are great fun.

Damage thus far has been limited to speaker cables and stair carpet edges, plus a 35hole golf course in the garden.

Hovawart Wizards, like Jacque, try to provide real life information for Muggles - those not yet touched by the Hovawart's magic - to learn more about Hovawarts in the Hovawart School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. A place where Muggles can read how we play, what kind of training and activities we undertake. What makes Hovawarts special to us, and how they made us into Wizards. The role they came to play in our lives. And the hard times we shared. Helping Muggles to make the best choice possible if a Hovawart could be the Magical Creature for them, or at least what to expect.
